The new single handed LOOP Evotec MF9.6 foot line 7

I tested to day for the first time here on the Vididalsa river in Iceland the new LOOP single handed Evotec MF 9.6 foot line 7. The weather to day was terrible , strong north wind and hard to cast. In short , this new Evotec rod is just magic , most crispy , fast , delicate and accurate rod I have ever fished with , it is like made for Iceland. LOOP congratulation for this new rod , you just hit it right here!

PRAISE FOR THE EVOTEC ROD SERIES

Hey guys!
That new rodseries of yours, The Evotec, is a real blast! It's long-casting and there is very little residual vibration - even when you punch it!

I've been using the Evotec 12' quite a lot this summer and can only say that it is a joy to cast.
It's taken a couple of grilse and a 15lb Salmon and worked flawlessly. The new rod-handle material is really good. Feels a bit like velvet and is very comfortable.
The new shape of the handles, especially on the single-hand models, makes the rod "fit like a glove" without one holding the handle in a vice-like grip. Especially after a few hours of hard fishing you really notice the benefits of these handles.
I've gotten the same positive reaction from friends of mine who are totally sold on the whole concept, both shape and material.

It's great that you continue to come up with new, inventive gear that is also functional!

My great strong LOOP Classic reel .. it has never let me down!

Some years back I bought from Christer Sjoberg at LOOP some of their first LOOP Classic 10/13 reel they made , for 15 foot rod line 10. This reel I have been using ever since for big salmon rivers mainly in Russia and Norway. After a good few years this reel is still going strong and travelling with me where ever I go for big Salmon , this reel have recorded 160 salmon over 20 pounds , 18 salmon over 30 pounds and 4 salmon over 40 pounds. Amazingly I never had problem giving the reel a hard time fighting all this strong fish and I am not a delicate man when it comes to tackle , all I have done is renewing the brakes one time and it is like new. You can trust this machine!

THE NEW EVOTEC 490 MF ROD

I fish a lot and, for my dry fly fishing and light nymphing, I've found a new favourite in the Loop Evotec 490 MF rod this summer. This rod does it all, and better than most I have ever tried. In fact, this rod has become my absolute favourite rod for brown trout fishing, both for long distance casting on stillwaters with dry flies, and tight places like river bank fishing with overhanging trees. If you would really like to learn to cast and fish well underhand casting from tight spots this Evotec rod will really help you out. The rod is so sensitive and precise at close range, and delivers exceptional precision at long distances aswell. Perfect for those critical situations when you encounter a large and shy rising brown trout - and you maybe only get one or two chances at it. Then the presentation better be perfect the first time. The Xgrip handle makes your casting and loops even more stable it seems, so I am happy with it. Feels good, and looks good.

This rod matches the Loop Opti Stillwater #4 perfect for medium to long distance underhand casting, and stillwater fishing at all distances. For very close to medium casting distances and situations the Opti Stream #4 line is a perfect match. Highly recommended both combos.
